Troop 336 is an 'adventure' troop involved in many activities each month. Our goal is to help young men learn leadership skills while participating in, and enjoying outdoor activities and community projects. Our scouts camp, canoe, bike, ski, hike, kayak, rock-climb and enjoy many other challenging adventures in the outdoors. The boys plan, implement and execute the activities schedule with only simple guidance from adult leadership.
Along with all of this adventure, our boys are taught character, citizenship and leadership traits. Troop 336 is comprised of many adult leaders with diverse backgrounds. It is this diversity, we believe, that helps us to develop the youth and mentor them to 'self lead' the Troop. We invite you to come to a troop meeting or an outing to see how we work and whether or not we'd be a good fit for you and your son. We're located in Chesapeake City, Maryland. Our Troop is part of the Cecil District which is part of the DelMarVa Council.
The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is a youth organization dedicated to instilling the qualities of leadership and good citizenship in the young men in our communities through the Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs. These programs are self-supporting and rely on the hard work of the youth members as well as the generous assistance of our civic friends to support the various activities that supplement the weekly meetings such as overnight trips, service projects and social events. BSA programs are designed to be led by the youth and facilitated by their adult leaders.
